The house

One room, one kitchen, one idea of dinner

We keep the menu short so everything on it can be cooked to order, and we change it when the market changes, not when a calendar says so. The bread is baked in the afternoon, the stocks simmer overnight, and the last table is welcomed like the first.

The room seats forty. Candles, dark wood, no screens, music low enough to argue about dessert. Come for a birthday or come because it is Wednesday, the kitchen makes no difference between the two.

"A good dinner is a conversation the kitchen starts and the table finishes."

The chef and owner

  • Everything cooked to order, nothing held warm
  • A wine list of small growers, many by the glass
  • Tables kept for two hours minimum, no rushing

Set menus

Let the kitchen decide

Three set menus, priced once, the simplest way to eat here, and the way the regulars do it.

Lunch set

Chef's choice

Tasting menu

€58

Five courses, the whole table plays. Tell us what you cannot eat; the kitchen writes the rest of the evening.

Saturday lunch

€34

Three courses served family-style, one long service from noon. Children welcome, high chairs ready.

Word from the dining room

Left by guests after their meal, we print the good and learn from the rest.

5/5

We came for a birthday and stayed until they stacked the chairs. The duck was the best I have had in years, and the staff treated our late table like the first of the night.
Salomé Vasseur

5/5

The menu is short and that is exactly the point, everything on it earns its place. The celeriac steak converted a table of committed carnivores.
Édouard Malet

4/5

Booked for six on a rainy Thursday. Warm room, patient service, and the onion soup alone was worth crossing town for. One star kept for the day they add more desserts.

5/5

Our regular table since the opening. The card changes with the market and there is always one dish we argue over sharing. Book ahead, the dining room fills fast.
